ACTION INNOCENCE I really admire it when fashion supports important causes, and fights to raise awarness concerning subjects that are less pleasant to discuss than shoes or hand bags. The truth of life can be sometimes quite hard to accept and that is why support and any kind of action is highly appreciated. Since big fashion labels have such a large audience, I think it’s even more admirable for them to do something in order to help. James and I had the chance to take part a couple of days ago in a charity fund raiser called Action Innocence organised by owners of maison Chanel. The goal of the association is to prevent and fight child abuse not only in real life but also on the web where many dangers exist as we all know.
This charity Gala was held at the hotel Président Wilson, and for the evening 15 Christmas trees by various luxury brands have been designed : those have been auctionned during the night in order to raise funds for the association. Among the trees, were ones created by Jean-Paul Gautier, Fendi or Chanel and each tree came with a special present. I was impressed to see that everybody played the game and donated what they could. Either buy a little bracelet or support one child for a year, each and every participation means a lot. For the evening I decided to wear something very Chanel-like. My style has always been very chic and classic, I couldn’t feel better in any other outfit. This felt like the perfect combination of elegance and glamour.
