Diamonds speak for themselves

I can’t even describe how special it felt for both James and I to be in Cannes at this film festival season… We were already bursting out of happiness on a daily basis, so add on top of it a surreal attendance at the AmFar Gala to support cancer research and raise awareness, that makes it the most beautiful blessing. We already had the opportunity to attend this event in India a couple of months ago with the Love Gold team, so were very familiar with the concept and couldn’t wait to hear more about the new initiatives and of course contribute our support in any way possible.

More than a charity event, it’s also one of the best (if not the best) nights during Cannes with only the top crownd in the area. I am talking about Sharon Stone, Carine Roitfeld, Catherine Deneuve, Leonardo Di Caprio, John Travolta, Justin Bieber, Lana Del Rey, and the list goes on… I’ve never been in a room with that many mind blowing celebrities. The bar was raised very high and needless to say that I felt quite pressured to find the perfectly appropriate dress for the occasion. Luckily, we had Elie Saab to work their unmistakable magic.

That night we had to do one Montée Des Marches, the final one, change and rush like mad people to the Eden Roc for the Gala. So right after my third and last Montée, James and I stopped for a quick change at the Martinez. I went from white, into this deep black, super sensual and sexy dress. Very feminine, a little see through but above all totally femme fatale.

At night, I kind of looked like a vampire, but a baby faced vampire. Chopard spoiled me with the most insane jewels I’ve ever worn. Everybody kept staring at it during the whole night with mouths dropping a little. I have to say, it was the biggest prestige to be able to wear these treasures, these pieces of art and craftsmanship. It only made the night feel even more special. A real Cinderella tale.
