Milan fashion week look i

Milan, Milan, Milan… It’s a whole love story. I’ve had the pleasure to attend MFW for several seasons now and it has always been the biggest pleasure. Like I mentioned in some of my previous articles, it’s a thrill to spend some time in Italy, hang out with some of our dear friends, get to see the new collections of some of my favorite designers and of course… store some ice cream in our bellies for the upcoming winter…! I want to make sure that I’ll be warm enough so I need to fill up the space up. You know what I mean?

Fashion month is always the perfect time to play around and get creative when it comes to outfit choices. I like to switch up my style from one city to another. In New York, I liked exploring geometric structures and a more edgy, sometimes even quite minimalistic look while in Milan, for me, it’s all about colors, prints and playfulness. A lot of you were surprised by some of my choices, but I think that it’s exactly the point that I’m trying to make : getting out of my comfort zone to celebrate fashion in all of its shapes and colors during this crazy busy month.

I always enjoyed being feminine and elegant and you guys know me for some statement looks and some particular pieces that I like to keep using again and again. Yet, this season I wanted to exceed the usual shapes you’ve seen me in and try something else. I believe it’s more thrilling for me but also for you all as it only shows more diversity, and isn’t it the whole point of fashion, re-inventing yourself each season? So far, I’ve tried some cool things but I would love to go even further and really push boundaries while still incorporating some of my favorite aesthetics.

For the Fay (don’t forget to follow them on Facebook, they always share some cool insights on their collections!) show which took place during MFW, I picked this amazing dress with this super fun and quirky Peanuts cartoon print. I felt like it was perfect for the first day and to start the week with something unexpected and full of humour. I had the chance to visit their showroom the day before the show and meet Tommaso Aquilano and Roberto Rimondi (did you know that they also have their brand : Aquillano.Rimondi), the designers behind the brand to experience the collection and get to touch the clothes in preview before they were shown on the runway. I loved seing how the clothes were so playful, fresh and young, with a lot of fun twists. Yet, the quality of this beautiful Italian brand remains within each piece.

To keep it structured and sleek, I also added a white skirt underneath it, just because layering is a must during FW, with this beauty of a Hermès bag and my favorite baby blue heels. To elevate the look even more, I played with some bright gold details from Bee Goddess jewelry at Talisman Gallery, a brand I had the chance to discover thanks to LoveGold! Hope you guys will enjoy it ;)
