Nyfw day i

AAAAND Here we go! It’s official, we are kicking off our fashion week coverage here on kayture.dev!!! I am so excited to share with you all the insights of this SS15 season. The anecdotes, crazy experiences, discoveries and above all marvelous fashion. We’ve been planning, managing and organizing the whole thing since months, needless to say how happy and motivated I am! Our mindset? Bring it on!!!! I am so open to try new things out, whether it’s a new hair cut, a new style or even new concept for the blog. I feel like this season will be all about statements, and we have many planned out.

I am writing this article as New York fashion week takes an end for us. I  just came back from the Ralph Lauren fashion show and am currently packing my luggages to head straight off to the airport, on our way to London. Can’t wait to practice my british accent and appreciate the London, posh meets underground street style.

New York has been all about minimalism and comfort for me. I played a lot with the white and with unconventional cuts that I haven’t explored that much yet. A cape-like blazer, hair tucked in a turtle neck, buttoned up open back blouse and even flats for the shows, you name it. I wanted to go out of the line of my usual looks and explore the “less is more” philosophy while embracing new shapes and taking the time to find ensembles that would feel and look comfortable above all. From the tight skirt or skinny trousers, I went for looser shapes. From lace and colorful sunnies, I explored different shades of whites and cut outs. It was all about the right structure.

It’s very interesting to see how a lot of you reacted under my NYFW looks on Instagram. The opinions were really spread out, it’s either you loved it or hated it. And I have to say,  it’s totally fine : fashion is about keeping your eyes and mind open. Just like the flavor of an ice cream, it can grow on you. For example, I use to never (EVER) wear jeans. Can you believe it? Now I can barely spend 3 days without. My style evolved, and I definitely want to go out of my comfort zone and what’s considered to be traditionally flattering to explore silhouettes that are more graphic and sleek.

I really invite you all to have fun with fashion, because that’s what’s the most important about it. The clothes you’re wearing shape the way you introduce yourself to the world in a away. It’s a conversation starter and a way to get to be the person you’re aiming to be. New York has always felt more edgy to me, but I am definitely planning to explore more styles in London, Milan and Paris! Keeping my mind open. All I want to do is enjoy fashion at a 100%!!!  Hope you guys will like this first look I wore to the shows, it was all about minimalism and golden accents thanks to the incredible pieces by Jemma Wynne and Susan Foster that LoveGold introduced us to.
