Show me your cape!

It almost feels surreal to look back at these images, it really seems like we shot them ages ago!!! Milan fashion week seems so far behind. Being now based in Los Angeles for several weeks, it’s almost as if I forgot what a gray day looks like. In Switzerland, it can rain, then snow all of a sudden. Here, it’s all about the sun and a hot breeze. And you know what? I don’t mind it at aaaall, instead of that, it’s simply incredible to be in the middle of the month of November and wear summer dresses.

This article falls right on time as I just visited today Tod’s boutique on Rodeo Drive to pick a look I’d wear tomorrow night for a Vogue dinner organized by their team. I am very excited about it! I’ve always loved their pieces and with the arrival of their new head designer, the brand just keeps growing and growing, becoming fresher and more interesting to a market like mine.

This cape was definitely a head turner. Walking around with it as if it was a totally normal look was the best thing ever. It stands and pops out so much!!! Still, I felt like it needed a little balance and structure so I added this simple black belt from Marni, some over the knee boots from Jimmy Choo (the comfiest pair ever, swearing on them!!), Louis Vuitton collar necklace and one of my best, recent purchases : this crazy amazing Rag & Bone hat. But I have to say that my favorite item in this whole look is this super funny, quirky Lulu Guinness clutch I found on Monnier Frères. Isn’t it the cutest?
