#kaytips : drink your greens

Hellooo everyone!! I can’t believe on how amazing is the feedback on the “Girl Talk” article, it’s so heartwarming! We’ll definitely do more similar stuff in the future. We’re currently in Paris for Haute Couture, some shootings and a lot of meetings are going on. I just finished this new #Kaytips that I actually started to write in Switzerland on a couch listening to “Talking Body” by Tove Lo (I’m obsessed with this song right now). I thought it’s was a good idea to share with you my favorite green smoothies recipes! Winter is clearly not being kind to us right now and there’s nothing that will boost you more than a green smoothie, I think I drink at least one everyday and that one of my best investment was my mixer.

THE IMMUNITY BOOSTER

Well, I’m obsessed with ginger, it helps the body naturally detoxify and this babe of a smoothie has just the right amount. Still, it will wake up your mouth. It really has a milkshake taste because of the almond milk and banana. And we all love strawberries right? It’s one of the healthiest food you can eat or drink. Can you believe  they are chockfull of antioxidants and have more Vitamin C than oranges? Yes, I know. You’re running to the market right now. So here we go, you’ll need :
2 cups almond milk
2 cups baby spinach
2 cups strawberries
1 banana
1 tablespoon grated ginger, to taste

Blend first the spinach with the almond milk until smooth, then add the remaining ingredients and blend again until smooth. I use at least one frozen fruit to make it colder and if you don’t like strawberries (come on.) you can always substitute with other berries. And if you don’t like ginger (come on again.) leave it out or add another spice, like cinnamon

THE “IT’S GOOD FOR YOUR SKIN”

It’s not that you should it’s that you have to take care of your skin from the inside as well. This smoothie includes two of my favorite things on earth; avocado and coconut water. A girl told me once that coconut water is nature’s gatorade and I couldn’t agree more. While avocado is all about healthy fats and vitamin E, coconut water regenerates the tissues and hydrates like crazy. This + a good moisturizer and you should be glowing in no time

2 cups spinach, fresh

2 cups coconut water

2 cups pineapple

1 avocado

Blend spinach and coconut water until smooth. Next add the remaining fruits and blend again. I use also at least one frozen fruit to make the green smoothie cold.

THE “ONLY 4 INGREDIENTS”

4 ingredients and it includes peach. So sweet! The coconut milk make it feel like a milkshake and it’s like.. very rich. Yet one of my favorite ever.

2  cups spinach
2  cups coconut milk
2  cups sliced peaches*
1  orange, peeled

Blend spinach and coconut milk until smooth. Add remaining ingredients, and blend until smooth. Enjoy!

*Any variety of peaches or nectarines is fine. Other stone fruits like apricots, plums, and cherries can also be used if peaches aren’t available.
