Cocktail chopard

Pictures by James Vyn

LA PALME D’ORGeneva welcomed yesterday a very special guest : the famous Palme d’Or was exposed at the Hotel Président Wilson yesterday evening for a very special cocktail event held by Chopard in honour of the Cannes Festival and the work of Pol Baril, an extremely talented photographer who made pictures of this year’s festival. I simply can’t describe you guys his work, it is surprisingly effortless but at the same time the athmosphere is so feminin, mysterious and delicate. He has got a very subtle vision and there is nothing more fascinating than that. The work of the details, and the way he plays with contrasts and materials are two different things I’ve noticed in his photography. The event was more than lovely, I had the chance to meet the talented and so friendly  Chopard team who explained me a bit this love story between the brand and the Festival de Cannes. I believe it has been 18 years since this collaborations goes on, and it isn’t ready to end, luckily. Chopard is the symbol of elegance, it is modern jewerly for confident and feminin women who embrace their passions and enjoy who they are.

My outfit melted pretty well with the red carpet, which actually gave to the Pool Garden of the Président Wilson hotel a very luxurious athmosphere.  I rushed to this event right after a shooting for a sportswear brand, and had a really nice make-up and perfectly curly hair which was perfect since everybody looked so classy and gorgeous. Everytime I try to curl my hair, it stays for half an hour and then it’s all gone. But this time, my hair style was intact the whole day, thanks to magician hair dressers who fix hair with glue… I must admit that it was quite impresive to see the Palme in real life, see all the effort put into it’s fabrication. Concerning the outfit, I have been dying over Valentino’s red lace dress and created my own version of it with a lower budger : red crochet top from Zara matched to a red skirt and it’s all done! I am quite happy with the result, it’s chic, comfortable and sexy enough. Hope you guys will enjoy sharing this experience with me through these couple of pictures and don’t forget to pay attention to the Pol Baril’s wonderful work!
