Bonjour paris

Pictures by James Chardon

THE GRANDIOSE FINALE One thing that I’ll definitely be able to say at the end of September (wait a minute…begining of October actually as PFW officially ends for us on the 2nd!) is that we had a pretty intensive month! But such an in-cre-dible one! So right after the last shows in Milan we took the train (6 hours, gaaaah)(the train was filled with models rushing to Paris for the last castings and fittings for the shows, so I got a little runway preview from my train seat) directly to Paris with our 6 suitcases, bags to finally arrive in the city of dreams… Ah Paris… When I think about Paris I think of exquisite fashion, of poets, of writers, of incredible food gastronomy, or all these colorfull à-la-marie-antoinette desserts, and of a mind blowing architecture. There’s inspiration litterally everywhere and I feel like the city is getting more and more beautiful everytime I come back. And you know what thing that makes me super happy too? Being able to speak french (finally!) because after all these trips, it feels good to speak my native language a little and just relax my brain for a minute.

Paris fashion week is always the ”finale”, the ”coup de théatre” of the season with the BEST shows, the BEST events and the BEST settings. This season, we’re attending some of the top shows (I don’t want to reveal everything to you guys yet, but it’s really exciting!) and have some really cool projects on the way which I can’t wait to tell you more about. All this makes me soo happy and overwhelmed that I actually forget how tired I am (we sleep 4-5 hours everynight and are in perpetual stress/hurry mode during the day : imagine the combo)!! But anyway, on the first day of our arrival in Paris we had the chance to take it a little easier with a couple of meetings, one show and this great shooting for Mango as their fashion week insider straight from Paris! I love this look so much as it is suuper comfy, edgy yet somehow casual too. I am crazy about the print of this skirt and also love the detailing of the top which is definitely inspired my Isabel Marant’s works (thanks Mango!). Not to mention that these Balenciaga booties are just waaay to comfy, even if there’s a heel, and that I actually walked the whole day in Paris, taking the metro like 5 times, I honestly didn’t get a single blister! Thumbs up booties! That’s what I call a good investment. Stay updated guys on the event page to find out about the soon to be launched contest where you’ll be able to actually win a trip to one of your favourite fashion destinations thanks to Mango and Fashiolista!!
